Jackie Kingston worked as a television news journalist in Amarillo from 2008 – 2024. After taking a break from the workforce early in the year, she became the inaugural Amarillo Tribune employee and signed on as CEO / Executive Editor in April 2024.
Jackie holds both a Bachelor of Arts in Broadcasting (2009) and a Master of Arts in Communication (2023) from West Texas A&M University. She returned to her alma mater to teach broadcasting and communications classes in 2018.
Jackie has served on the High Plains Food Bank Board of Directors since 2012 and the Amarillo Area Foundation Board since 2023.
Jackie’s career was recognized by West Texas A&M University’s Communications Department with the Rising Star award in 2015. She was also recognized as a Woman of Distinction by the Girl Scouts of Texas Oklahoma Plains with the Discover award in 2016. Her accolades include being a part of the Amarillo Chamber of Commerce’s Top 20 Under 40 in 2019. Jackie was given the Heart of Philanthropy award in 2022. Jackie’s work was recognized by the Texas Association of Broadcasters for Best Television Politics / Election Coverage in 2023.
Jackie is married to the love of her life, Lytton St. Stephen
